My Life's Ambition

My Life's Ambition

I have been asked by a friend who read the comments that I provided on my WEBSITE this question: "Is your WEBSITE designed to promote the academic or the spiritual community?"

My response is simply - both! The spiritual environment provides the opportunity to develop and strength my faith. The academic environment provides the opportunity to display the love of God by being patience and truthful in any situation.

What good is my Christian walk on earth, if only to hang around faith-based environments? How would I know if I were able to stand the test when placed in trying situations if I am, who I claim to be? And, if I should fail the test of my faith at any given time, what would I have to fall back on or to hang on to? While my response maybe simple, my goal is to demonstrate my faith in God.

As in the past, my goal is to stand for what I believe to be the truth! In the end, hopefully, someone's life goals in the spiritual, academic and or social will be changed and/or enhanced!

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO MAKE A CLAIM OR T0 PROCLAIM?

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO MAKE A CAIM OR T0 PROCLAIM?

Assume that a claim of facts is something that is true or not true and claims of value implies that something is good or bad, or more or less desirable. Claims of policy promotes the concept that one course of action is superior to another. (Note: A persuasive claim is an opinion, idea, or assertion.)

Just a Thought: If you were involved in making a claim similarly to the situations above, without council, how would you evaluate them as a unit? Would your thought process be the same with council?

NOTE: Wisdom without counsel can go astray, but in the multitude of counselors, guidelines are established. But when two are three are gathered, people with wisdom understand that there are also other people who are wise. (Author Unknown)

WHERE ARE YOU HEADED?

WHERE ARE YOU HEADED?

It is often said that two heads are better than one.

When I was growing up my father often said: If you don't know where you are going, ask somebody. I did not understand, at the time, what he meant. But, as I grew older, I began to realize that he was simply saying: While two heads are better than one, three are more are better.

As children, we often think that we know it all. However, as we grow older, we realize that we will always need help from others, even if it is only to get a different perspective on an issue. It is too late to second guess on "what if's' of your life". So, a as reminder: Seek help, if only to get a different perspective on an issue. There is nothing to lose but a different viewpoint. A perspective that might have saved you from taking the wrong turn in life.

I wish that I had taken my own medicine in several situations. It might have saved me from second guessing so many of my life's WHAT IF'S!

Nevertheless, when it was all said and done, life taught me this:

Just wait

Your Time Will Come
Wait patiently for Him alone,
For my expectation is from HIM
He is my rock and my salvation
He is my defense;
I shall not be moved.

(Psalm 62: 5 – 6)

LIVE A LIFE OF PRINCIPLES

LIVE A LIFE OF PRINCIPLES
Ponder the path of your feet and let all your ways be established. Do not turn to the right or to the left; remove your foot from evil. Proverbs 4:26 – 27. Putting principles before personalities is a behavior that will allow individuals to develop positive attitudes and move forward.

Evaluate First. Then Take Action.

Understanding our Attitudes by Reflecting on the Past

sunset-2021-08-30-06-46-56-utc

At one point when I was retiring from a career as a public high school principal and administrator, I knew I was moving on into a new, less-stressful season of my life. But, that did not mean I was a happy person. In fact, I realized that I had an unsettled spirit. I was not at peace with myself. I began to realize that if I did not deal honestly with my feelings and questions that I had been avoiding, I would lose my mind.
